SteelSeries Launches Arctis Nova Elite Hi-Res Audio Wireless Headset

SteelSeries today introduced the Arctis Nova Elite line of wireless gaming headsets that are certified for high-resolution audio over a wireless connection. The headset can stream 24-bit, 96 kHz audio wirelessly, as it implements the LC3+ codec. The headset consists of three physical components—the pair of headphones, a clip-on microphone, and a wireless DAC hub that connects to your PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or smartphone, over USB. The hub takes digital output from your audio source, and converts it to LC3+ for your headphones to pick up. The headset has certification from Japan Audio Society for quality of high-res audio output. As for the headphones, they implement carbon fiber drivers, and feature an around the ear form-factor. They also offer active noise cancellation. The Arctis Nova Elite comes in two color trims—sage gold and obsidian black. We will update this story with additional specs and pricing.
