With the launch of Battlefield 6 around the corner, EA has given players a glimpse at what's to come with the FPS game's first round of free post-launch content updates. EA has also confirmed that it will be delivering monthly free content updates, with each season consisting of three monthly content updates. The first update after the October 10 launch is slated to arrive as soon as October 28, with the start of Season 1. Rogue Ops, as it will apparently be named, adds the Blackwell Fields map, a new game mode called Strikepoint, a new vehicle, and some new gear and weapons, including the SOR-300SC Carbine, the GGH-22 sidearm, Mini Scout sniper rifle, and a new low-power variable optical scope.
Blackwell Fields is a new map set in the California badlands, and it will see players take on Pax Armata double agents who have launched attacks on NATO targets. The Strikepoint game mode is an "intense, small team tactical mode" designed for 4v4 gameplay. Players will have to think tactically and capture an objective in round-based gameplay with no respawns.
