Minisforum M1-1295 launches with unusual no-front I/O design

Minisforum has quietly launched the M1-1295, a compact mini-PC powered by Intel’s 16-core Core i9-12950HX. While the hardware is not new, the system is one of a kind because it lacks any front-facing connectors. The only visible element on the front is a small power button.
All connectivity is moved to the back, where the M1-1295 offers four USB ports, 2.5 GbE LAN, three display outputs, and separate audio in/out jacks. The design may suit home server users who rarely need front access, though the absence of even a single USB-C port makes quick updates or troubleshooting less convenient.

The device measures 195 × 193 × 52 mm, weighs 1.12 kg, and uses a cooling solution with a single turbofan and copper heat pipe.
The M1-1295 ships preconfigured with 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 1 TB SSD for $469 through Minisforum directly or $579 on Amazon. The system supports up to 64 GB of memory, with a barebones version expected at a later date for around $329.
