Intel reportedly planning 12 Panther Lake SKUs, featuring 6-12 CPU cores and 4-12 Xe3 GPU Cores

Intel Panther Lake with 12 SKUs

Intel may or may not announce SKU names soon.

On October 9, Intel will lift the embargo on the Panther Lake architecture, specifically the deep‑architectural overview that was disclosed during Tech Tour  2025 last month. It is expected that Intel will not confirm the specifications and performance of its new Core Ultra 300 chips until CES 2025 next year.

However, leaks following the Tech Tour mentioned Core Ultra X naming , which seems to have been corroborated by multiple sources. The leaks also add more SKUs and a small change to product‑SKU naming.

Intel Panther Lake Series:

  • Core Ultra 9/7/5 X3🔲8H – Premium Laptops with 10-12 Xe3 GPU cores (28W?)
  • Core Ultra 9/7/5 3🔲5H – Gaming Laptops with 20x PCIe 5.0 lanes (45W?)
  • Core Ultra 7/5/3 3🔲0U – Low-Power Mainstream Laptops (15W?)

First off, we have the Core Ultra X lineup. Contrary to what other leakers have mentioned, these SKUs may not be called Ultra X9, X7 or X5. Instead, a Chiphell leaker suggests that Intel will keep the current Ultra 9 naming but add an “X” to the SKU: Core Ultra 9 X388H.

I’m not sure which version looks better, to be honest I don’t know if Intel even needs this X branding here. As we mentioned in a previous story, this is basically a way for Intel to promote its Panther Lake chips with a full 12‑Xe3 GPU core configuration, most likely the successor to Lunar Lake.

It is also mentioned that Panther Lake will have non‑X variants with names ending in 5, similar to the current‑generation Arrow Lake‑H series. Sources say these models could support up to 16 cores but would use only 4 Xe3 GPU cores (a 3x reduction). This is because those variants are expected to provide more PCIe lanes for discrete graphics. In other words, SKUs such as Core Ultra 9 375H would be marketed for gaming laptops.

There is also a new version of the U‑Series (low‑power 15 W SKUs) featuring four variants: 360, 350U, 340U and 320U. These models would include eight to six CPU cores and four GPU cores.

Curent lineup of known (rumored) Panther Lake SKUs has 12 models, here’s what we know so far:
