Intel updates GPU roadmap: Panther Lake’s graphics confirmed as B-Series, Xe3P listed for “Next Arc Family”

Intel updates GPU roadmap, Xe3P architecture coming to Next Arc family

Intel has quietly updated its GPU IP and product roadmap, revealing new details about upcoming architectures and product families. The refreshed slide confirms that Panther Lake belongs to the Battlemage “B-Series” family and introduces a new entry, Xe3P , which will power the so-called “Next Arc Family” .

The roadmap lists the following GPU IP generations:

  • Xe (Alchemist) – powering Intel Arc A-Series and Meteor Lake graphics
  • Xe2 (Battlemage) – used in Arrow Lake, Lunar Lake, and Battlemage discrete GPUs
  • Xe3 (Battlemage extension) – confirmed for Panther Lake
  • Xe3P – marked as part of the next Arc generation

This confirms that Intel continues its multi-generation GPU IP strategy, expanding Battlemage across desktop, mobile, and future APU-class designs.

Xe3P and Nova Lake-AX rumors

The newly shown Xe3P has already appeared in recent leaks tied to a high-performance SoC known as Nova Lake-AX, reportedly designed to compete with AMD’s Strix Halo and Apple’s M-series.

According to well-known leakers, Nova Lake-AX would combine:

  • 28 CPU cores (8P + 16E + 4LP)
  • Integrated Xe3P GPU with 384 EUs (48 Xe3 cores)
  • 256-bit LPDDR5X memory bus, supporting up to 10667 MT/s

If that’s still teh case, this would make Nova Lake-AX one of Intel’s largest APU-style designs ever proposed. However, leakers also noted that the project might not reach production, aligning with earlier reports that it was under evaluation or canceled. So perhaps Xe3P is coming to other produts?

Still, the new Xe3P reference on Intel’s roadmap gives the rumors some weight, hinting that the company could revisit such high-performance APU concepts in the future.
