
Hong Kong police have arrested a driver whose van hit and killed a woman crossing the road in Kwun Tong on Friday afternoon.
The man, 61, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death and remained in custody for investigation.
Police received a report at 2.59pm of the accident at the junction of Kwun Tong Road and Lai Yip Street.
The 61-year-old woman, surnamed Chik, sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to United Christian Hospital in Kwun Tong. She was pronounced dead at 3.53pm.
Photographs showed that the van belonged to a courier company. Officers also cordoned off the area.
