Colorful unveils CVN X870E Ark Frozen
Colorful has released its first X870E motherboard under the CVN series. Until now, the company had only introduced the X870 Senna under its higher-end iGame lineup. The new CVN X870E ARK FROZEN V14 targets a wider audience, featuring a white ATX design with upgraded cooling and strong connectivity.
The motherboard features a white PCB covered by CVN’s Aries frost cooling armor and a full-size metal backplate. Power delivery comes from a 16+2+1 phase VRM design with 80A DrMOS and dual 8-pin EPS connectors. It also includes diagnostic LEDs and a quick-release button for the main PCIe slot.

In terms of storage, the board offers five M.2 slots, three PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4, plus four SATA 6 Gb/s ports. When using the second or third M.2 slot, the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot will switch to x8 mode.
Rear I/O includes two USB4 40 Gbps Type-C ports (supporting 4K 60 Hz video output), multiple USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, 5 GbE LAN, and Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. Front I/O supports a 20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C connector with up to 30 W PD output.

The CVN X870E ARK FROZEN V14 supports AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series processors on the AM5 socket and up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory at speeds up to 8200 MT/s (OC), with both EXPO and XMP profiles.
Colorful has not yet listed the board for sale, nor has it confirmed availability outside China.
