Mesa 25.2.5 is out today as the newest bi-weekly point release for these open-source OpenGL and Vulkan drivers. Particularly if you are on Intel graphics of Battlemage or Lunar Lake and potentially older, Mesa 25.2.5 contains a very important bug fix for various rendering issues and potential game hangs/crashes.

Mesa 25.2.5 back-ports the Intel driver fix covered earlier this week in Intel Lands Big Linux GPU Driver Fix: Fixing Rendering Issues & Game Hangs/Crashes . Known to be a big help for at least Lunar Lake / Battlemage Xe2 graphics, this fix corrects a number of rendering issues plaguing a wide variety of games as well as being a culprit for some game crashes/hangs. It's very important for a better Intel graphics Linux gaming experience:

Mesa 25.2.5 also brings some Radeon video acceleration fixes, several Zink driver fixes, a Freedreno fix for XWayland, a few Radeon Vulkan (RADV) driver fixes, and other Intel driver fixes. Plus some random fixes to the smaller drivers too like Turnip and PanVK.
