GeForce RTX 5070 price drops below $500 for the first time

GeForce RTX 5070 finally drops below $500

Exclusive Prime deal on MSI Shadow 2X OC.

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card has finally fallen below the $500 mark for the first time since launch. Originally priced at $549, the GPU is now listed at $499 on Amazon, though the offer appears to be exclusive to Prime members.

The discounted model is MSI’s GeForce RTX 5070 12G Shadow 2X OC , a compact dual-slot card based on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. It comes with a boost clock of up to 2542 MHz, 12GB of GDDR7 memory, and a dual-fan TORX 5.0 cooling system. The design is clearly midrange, no RGB lighting or triple-fan cooler.

MSI’s Shadow series targets small-form-factor systems and mainstream gaming PCs rather than flagship builds. Features include a nickel-plated copper baseplate, reinforced metal frame.

The price drop comes as we hear reports that NVIDIA plans to introduce the RTX 5070 SUPER next year, likely prompting board partners to clear existing inventory. The question is, will the RTX 5070 price drop any further? I would say it’s a very likely scenario.
