Getac launches rugged laptops with AMD Krackan and Intel Lunar Lake CPU options

Getac expands rugged lineup with AMD Krackan and Intel Lunar Lake Copilot+ laptops

AI in industries that may not need it.

Getac has introduced two new rugged laptops designed for demanding industrial use, the S510AD, powered by AMD Ryzen 300 processors, and the B360 Plus, built around Intel Core Ultra 200V chips with NPUs. Both systems are certified under strict military durability standards, ensuring reliable operation in harsh field conditions, from utility work to public safety and automotive diagnostics.

The S510AD is the company’s first AMD-based rugged AI mobile workstation, featuring Ryzen AI 5 340 or AI 7 350 processors with an integrated NPU delivering up to 50 TOPS. Those are, of course, Krackan Point CPUs , the low-end option that was launched earlier this year. It supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, 2 TB NVMe SSDs, and optional NVIDIA RTX A500 graphics. With a 15.6-inch 1000-nit display, dual hot-swappable batteries, and MIL-STD-810H certification, it targets technicians and engineers who need dependable computing in outdoor or remote sites.

The B360 Plus , meanwhile, uses Intel’s latest Core Ultra 5/7 200V based on Lunar Lake with up to 48 TOPS of NPU performance. It features Intel Arc 140V/130V graphics, a 13.3-inch 1400-nit display, and IP66 protection against dust and water. Both models include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, optional 5G, and a broad selection of legacy ports for industrial interfaces such as serial D-sub and VGA.

While Getac promotes both systems as “Copilot+ PCs,” their intended users, such as field engineers, first responders, and factory maintenance teams, may find limited benefit from Microsoft’s generative AI tools (are they going to ask Copilot how to respond to fires, injuries, or how to defend military bases?).

Well, Getac does not list any prices, interested buyers need to contact the company directly. You can also look at the accessories, including batteries, car holders and such. It would be cool if there was an option to install two batteries for hot-swapping.
