Last month, Anker debuted a handful of new charging products for the launch of the iPhone 17. Today, I’ll be reviewing two of them: their new with a built in retractable cable, as well as the . I’ve been testing them out for a handful of weeks now, and they’ve proven to be quite useful.

First up, the new . This product has a unique offering, that being the built-in retractable cable. That does make the charger a little bit larger than you’d expect for a – but I think it’s a worthy tradeoff.

The retractable cable is 2.3ft long, so it isn’t the most versatile thing in the world. That said, it certainly can come in clutch if you just want to quickly plug your phone in while having a nearby surface to rest it on. Despite being a little big, it is still rather slim, so you could definitely fit the in your pocket. Its prongs also fold in.

There’s also a second USB-C port on the product, just in case you want to carry your own USB-C cable around for charging.

Overall, I’d recommend the to anyone who wants something pocketable and wants to take advantage of fast charging on any iPhone that isn’t an iPhone 17 Pro. This brick could also prove useful for a , though it won’t be a fast charge.

Out of the two chargers, I’ve certainly found the the most useful. It offers three ports: two USB-C and one USB-A. The best part of this charger is that it supports up to 70W out of one port. That isn’t always the case with a lot of multi-port power adapters on the market. I’ve made this the go-to charger for my , and it’s much smaller than the original power adapter that Apple includes in the box.

It also offers foldable prongs, which can’t be said for every compact charger. Another huge perk is the fact that the comes with a 6 foot braided USB-C charging cable in the box, saving you an additional purchase.

The only bad thing I can say about this charger is the fact that it offers a USB-A port. I’m sure theres some people using USB-A still, but I’d much rather have a third USB-C port, even if it has to be a low wattage one.

Having USB-A isn’t the end of the world, since I still have a that I can carry around. However, at this point in time – USB-A on new products feels a bit dated. Maybe that’s just me.

Another benefit worth mentioning – which I can’t take advantage of because I use an iPhone Air – is that the supports the new 40W fast charging offered on iPhone 17 Pro. All in all, this is a very versatile and compact charger especially with an included braided cable. It’s a nice quality one.
