AMD and ASRock launch global Radeon RX 9070 XT giveaway

AMD and ASRock have teamed up for a rare GPU giveaway campaign offering five limited-edition Radeon RX 9070 XT Monster Hunter Wilds Edition 16 GB cards. The promotion, titled “AMD x Monster Hunter Wilds Sweepstakes,” is open to participants across North America, Europe, the UK, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Indonesia.

According to AMD, the cards may not be factory-sealed units but “ opened or repackaged ” samples. The note is quite surprising given the company sends hundreds of new cards to influencers, yet this remains one of AMD’s few public GPU giveaways in recent years. They really have no new cards to give away? Strange.

The special RX 9070 XT model, based on the RDNA 4 architecture, features 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and a dual 8-pin power design. It sits between NVIDIA’s RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti in terms of performance, while maintaining similar VRAM capacity. The limited-edition design is produced by ASRock and themed around Monster Hunter Wilds, following AMD’s earlier promotional bundle for the same title.

At the time of writing, the sweepstakes have already logged over 2.7 million entries. Since each user can collect up to 1,200 entries through social media actions, that translates to roughly 2,300 participants so far.

Winners will be notified within seven days of the draw and must claim their prize within five days. AMD also clarifies that VAT, GST, and import taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners , meaning some participants will face additional fees upon delivery.
