Battlefield RedSec announced

Electronic Arts has announced Battlefield REDSEC, a free battle royale set in the Battlefield universe. The launch is scheduled for October 28. REDSEC is a standalone download and does not require Battlefield 6.
The rollout aligns with Season 1 of Battlefield 6. The season roadmap includes three waves of free content running from October through December.
A gameplay trailer will premiere one hour before servers go live. EA says the mode will be free-to-play for all players at launch.

Early details outline matches for up to 100 players. The playable area contracts over time and contact with the barrier eliminates the player.
Ripple Effect is leading development. The team will share more about modes and systems with the trailer and launch notes. Based on what we already know the game should launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. For context, Battlefield 6 launched on October 10 on the same platforms.
