Intel Nova Lake-S LGA-1954 socket appears on Thermaltake page
Usually, about a year before the launch of a new socket, we start seeing evidence of it entering the market. This often includes engineering samples, socket photos, and early confirmations of CPU cooler compatibility. Thermaltake appears to be the first company to confirm support for the LGA-1954 socket, Intel’s next-generation platform for desktop Nova Lake processors.
The information was discovered by data-miner @momomo_us , who spotted an update for the Minecube 360 Ultra ARGB cooler. This all-in-one liquid cooler features four 3.95-inch LCDs at 720×720 resolution. The company has taken AIO design to the next level here, most coolers only feature small circular or slightly curved OLED screens. With four separate displays, AIOs might eventually need some form of graphics acceleration if this trend continues.

The LGA-1954 socket was already known to share the same dimensions as LGA-1851 and LGA-1700. While some coolers required special brackets to achieve better thermal performance on Core Ultra 200-series CPUs, they remained compatible. This means that even coolers dating back to the LGA-1150 era could still work with LGA-1954, provided cooler manufacturers release updated mounting brackets or the new socket retains nearly identical specifications to LGA-1851.

As shown in the image from the product manual, LGA-1954 uses the same mounting bracket as LGA-1851 and LGA-1700. At least for this cooler, support is confirmed across three generations of Intel sockets.
Intel is expected to launch its Nova Lake series next year as the Core Ultra 400 lineup. This release will mark the end of the relatively short life span of the LGA-1851 socket, which supported only the Arrow Lake architecture. Meteor Lake was originally planned for this socket but never reached consumers in desktop form ( only networking/edge ).
