This means you should be able to reuse your CPU coolers purchased as far back as 2021 for your 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake" build, with your future "Nova Lake" build. The LGA1954 socket and package is expected to have similar physical dimensions to current Intel desktop chips, with the company increasing socket pin counts by reducing the size of the contact points, and making the island—the central region of the land grid that has some SMDs—smaller.
