NVIDIA becomes the world’s first $5 trillion company

NVIDIA has officially reached a $5 trillion market capitalization, becoming the most valuable company in the world. The stock surged over 3% on Wednesday, surpassing Microsoft and Apple, both currently valued at around $4 trillion. This change happens just a day after GTC 2025 in Washington, where Jensen revealed the first engineering sample of the Vera Rubin platform .
This milestone follows a rapid climb over the past two years. NVIDIA first hit the $1 trillion mark in May 2023, then crossed $4 trillion in July 2025. The company’s growth has been fueled by global demand for its AI chips, with CEO Jensen Huang recently confirming more than $500 billion in confirmed AI chip orders through 2026.
