Gold hits all-time high and RTX 5090 prices follow
It’s that time of year when we look at the latest price cuts for top-tier graphics cards. Most RTX 50 models and even AMD’s Radeon RX 9000 series have seen price drops, except for the RX 9070 XT. Yet one card continues to resist any reduction, the RTX 5090.
NVIDIA priced its flagship Blackwell card at $1,999, a figure that pushed it into TITAN territory. Despite that, the card sold out instantly and has rarely been available at MSRP since launch. Gamers not interested in custom designs could sometimes secure one through NVIDIA’s Verified Priority Access program , but that only applies to Founders Edition cards and isn’t available in every region (it is in Germany, though).
Meanwhile, demand for the RTX 5090 is rising again, and retailers are reacting as quickly as gas stations after a spike in oil prices.
According to PC Games Hardware, the custom models of the RTX 5090 are climbing well above the official MSRP, while the Founders Edition is nowhere to be found. Most partner cards now sit around €2,600 to €2,800 in Germany, with only a handful of listings close to €2,200, and even those are pre-orders with uncertain delivery times.

A check of price trackers shows the trend clearly moving upward. Affordable models like the Inno3D GeForce RTX 5090 X3, Palit GameRock, and MSI Suprim SOC have all seen steady increases. Even NVIDIA’s own €2,099 Founders Edition is currently being resold for at least €2,666 on eBay.
The sad reality is that RTX 5090 prices are rising again, at least in Europe, and the few remaining cards in stock are becoming harder to find each week.
