False "End of Support" Warning Appears in Windows 10 Despite Extended Support

Microsoft has acknowledged the issue on its Windows 10 OS installations that are incorrectly displaying "end of support" messages, despite the installation running on Extended Security Updates (ESUs). While Windows 10 reached end of life on October 14 , Microsoft offers extended support for additional funds unless you are a member of the European Economic Area, in that case it is free for a year. If you're running Windows 10 version 22H2 Pro, Education, or Enterprise—and you've signed up for Extended Security Updates with the right product key—you are covered. Same goes for Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021.

However, the entire issue was that users with ESUs experienced erros with false "Your version of Windows has reached the end of support" flags in settings, which resulted in a lot of questions from paying users. Microsoft has officially acknowledged that the bug is also happening on their end as well, and the Redmond giant offers a workaround to using Known Issue Rollback (KIR). Microsoft released a cloud-based configuration fix to address this problem, but your computer may not receive it automatically if it lacks internet connectivity, has OneSettings disabled through Group Policy, maintains restrictive firewall settings, or blocks dynamic updates.
