NVIDIA board partners reportedly still lack GeForce RTX 50 SUPER technical specs

RTX 50 SUPER delayed, but technically never confirmed by NVIDIA

We return to the RTX 50 SUPER rumors with new quotes from Hong Kong and Taiwanese media, both known for close ties to NVIDIA board partners and often sharing early information.

As we reported, the RTX 50 SUPER series is not expected to launch in the first quarter anymore. It was originally projected that NVIDIA would showcase the new series at CES 2026, but Uniko’s Hardware reported that NVIDIA had possibly canceled the series due to a shortage of 3GB memory and rising costs.

Quickly after that, MEGAsizeGPU revealed that the series is not canceled but postponed from Q1 to Q3 2026. The leaker also later mentioned that he does not believe the RTX 60 series would launch soon after, which means we may wait for another GeForce series for quite some time and the SUPER refresh is in no rush.

We now have corroboration on the second rumor. HKEPC has confirmed with their sources that the series is postponed. Unofficially, we learned that this information is straight from an NVIDIA source.

However, NVIDIA revealed to AIC yesterday that it has not canceled the RTX 50 SUPER plan, but has simply postponed the release date of the RTX 50 SUPER to Q3 2026. The statement by Uniko’s Hardware is incorrect.

Benchlife takes a more careful approach to the rumored series. They reiterated that unless something was provided to board partners, it cannot be delayed or postponed, because it never appeared on a roadmap in the first place.

As we reported earlier, NVIDIA has yet to provide design information for the GeForce RTX 50 Super series. As of November, no AIC has received any design information. Without any information, any talk of cancellation or postponement is just nonsense.

This is something that we mentioned earlier. NVIDIA has not yet distributed embargo information, but it looks like Benchlife has even more details and there is not even technical data available for board partners yet. So it would be extremely unlikely that RTX 50 SUPER would have launched in Q1 as previously reported. There would simply not be enough time.

The RTX 50 SUPER is technically just a memory upgrade with changes to the GPU specs as well, but for board partners this is just a different version of the processor with a different BIOS. It does not require anything except thermal testing of existing solutions, since SUPER cards will require more power.
