Sony announces 27-inch PlayStation gaming monitor with DualSense charging hook

Sony’s Inzone series now ahve a competitor from Sony, but its aimed at gamers who also own PS5 consoles.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has introduced a new 27-inch PlayStation gaming monitor aimed at desktop PS5 players. The display is designed for those who prefer playing on a desk rather than a living room TV and will be released in the US and Japan in 2026. It also includes a built-in hook that can charge a DualSense or DualSense Edge wireless controller.

The monitor uses a QHD IPS panel with up to 2560 × 1440 resolution and supports HDR with Auto HDR Tone Mapping on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. VRR is supported, with refresh rates up to 120 Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro, and up to 240 Hz on compatible PC and Mac systems. Sony positions the screen as a good match for its new Pulse Elevate wireless speakers for a desktop-focused audio and video setup.

Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4 input, two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port that can be used with a PlayStation Link adapter, built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and support for VESA mounting. HDMI and DisplayPort cables are not included in the package, which is odd for a PC monitor, but keep in mind this is also for gaming console which happens to come with said cable.

Sony confirms that the 27-inch PlayStation gaming monitor with DualSense Charging Hook will arrive in 2026 for the US and Japan. Pricing and the exact release date have not been disclosed yet.
