Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max Tipped To Be The Most Obese Ever

Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max is now being tipped to be the most obese variant ever produced, not as much in terms of dimensions as weight.

The reputable Chinese tipster, Instant Digital, has now made :

  1. The 2026 apex iPhone variant will be thicker.
  2. It will weigh over 240 grams.

Do note that Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are likely to feature a 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display , respectively, matching the display sizes found on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.

Nonetheless, the apex iPhone 18 variant will be more bloated than its predecessors, and also weigh more, possibly due to a number of design choices that Apple is expected to institute in 2026, including a stainless steel vapor chamber and a new variable-aperture main camera, supported by a three-layer stacked image sensor.

Do note that the iPhone 14 Pro Max weighed 240 grams, holding the current weight record among all iPhones, but it had a stainless steel frame. Apple switched to the lighter titanium frame for the iPhone 15 and 16 variants, before settling on an aluminum frame for the iPhone 17 lineup, barring the iPhone Air, which still retains a titanium frame.

Instant Digital noted in a subsequent Weibo comment that the , which brings the upcoming apex variant's expected weight to around 243 grams. If this turns out to be true, the iPhone 18 Pro Max will officially become the heaviest iPhone ever produced.
