ASUS RTX 5090 ROG MATRIX offically priced at $3999.99, twice the NVIDIA MSRP

ASUS ROG MATRIX costs two RTX 5090 FE

As reported yesterday , an official ASUS distributor in Europe has started taking preorders for the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 at €4,099, with shipping expected by the end of the month. At the same time, the official ASUS US store has confirmed a price of $3,999.99, making this the most expensive ASUS Blackwell model.

The card is a 30th anniversary limited edition, with production capped at about 1,000 units worldwide. It targets collectors and extreme overclockers more than mainstream buyers:

ROG Matrix RTX 5090 features a fully enabled Blackwell GPU with 21,760 CUDA cores and 32 GB of GDDR7 on a 512 bit bus at 28 Gbps, plus boost clocks up to 2,760 MHz in OC mode. Cooling is handled by a quad fan design with a full copper vapor chamber, liquid metal TIM, and a reinforced PCB, while extras include Memory Defroster, Power Detector+, Level Sense sag monitoring and an ARGB front panel.

ASUS already sells the ROG Astral LC RTX 5090 for around $3,700 , so the Matrix adds roughly a $300 premium for its anniversary design and feature set. Within ASUS’s own range that gap may look acceptable, but for a typical gamer it is hard to justify when similar money could secure almost two standard RTX 5090 cards.
