AMD Ryzen 400 Series starts to appear on Bapco benchmark page
Ryzen 465 and 450 SKUs now confirmed.

We now have three Ryzen 400 SKUs that leaked in a single week. This is the ultimate confirmation that AMD will not change the naming of the upcoming mobile CPUs , but this time they have a good reason not to. The upcoming series, codenamed “Gorgon Point”, will not be a major upgrade over “Strix Point”. The chips will be nearly identical, with no changes to the underlying CPU, GPU, and NPU architectures.
On the Bapco benchmark page, one can now find Ryzen AI 7 450, which will feature 8 cores and 16 threads. This is a low end part rebranded from Krackan Point silicon (most likely called Gorgon Point 2). This chip has 3x Zen 5 cores and 5x Zen 5c cores, as some of you may recall. Bapco does not confirm clock speeds, but it does confirm there is no change to the integrated GPU naming. The Ryzen AI 7 450 will still ship with Radeon 860M graphics (4 RDNA 3.5 CUs).
A higher-end part called Ryzen AI 9 465 will ship with 10 cores and 20 threads. This SKU has 4x Zen 5 cores and 6x Zen 5c cores. It will also ship with Radeon 880M graphics, so AMD is not updating the GPU specs either, which is a pity.

This SKU, along with the recently leaked HX 470 , now confirms that the upcoming Ryzen 400 series lineup will in fact feature rebrands from Strix and Kraken Point dies, so nothing new in that regard. This is not a surprise given that AMD already confirmed this to its partners months ago, but not yet publicly.
AMD Ryzen 400 series laptops should start appearing in Q1 2026, following the official announcement at CES 2026. Unfortunately, this means AMD has no intention to ship Zen 6 based chips any time soon.
