AOOSTAR updates Ryzen MAX+ 395 “NEX395” Mini-PC design

AOOSTAR refreshes NEX395 mini PC design, keeps Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 128 GB memory target

AOOSTAR has shown a new design for its NEX395 mini PC built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 “Strix Halo” APU. The company posted an updated “COMING SOON” render on November 18, confirming that the system is still planned and that it targets up to 128 GB of memory and dual USB4 connectivity.

The new chassis is more rounded and cleaner than the earlier gaming-style concept. The latest image shows a compact box with a single USB-C port on the front (kinda looks like a DVD-ROM?), while AOOSTAR’s description mentions two USB4 ports, which are likely placed on the rear panel. The company again highlights 128 GB of RAM support, which matches AMD’s official capabilities for the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 platform.

NEX395 was first shown in early July , when AOOSTAR used its Weibo account to tease a long, angular enclosure with more aggressive “gaming” styling and a rich port layout that included HDMI, DisplayPort, four USB-A ports, USB-C and dual Ethernet. At that time, the company already confirmed the use of the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU with 16 Zen 5 cores and Radeon 8060S graphics, plus up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory.

With the new render, NEX395 looks closer to a compact workstation than a console-style gaming box, but AOOSTAR still has not shared full specifications, pricing or an exact launch date.
