Colorful preps COLORFIRE B850M-MEOW for wider availability
Colorful has launched a new COLORFIRE B850M-MEOW WIFI7 V14 motherboard for AM5, dropping the loud orange look of earlier MEOW designs in favor of a cleaner white theme with subtle cat graphics. The board went on sale in China in late September for around $134 ($120 at launch), and is now said to appear at global resellers, pointing to a wider rollout beyond its home market.
The new MEOW B850M uses the AMD B850 chipset and a Micro ATX layout with four DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting up to 192 GB and advertised overclock speeds up to 8000 MT/s. Power delivery is upgraded to a 10+2+1 phase design with 55 A DrMOS stages under Colorful’s Frost cooling armor and a full length VRM and M.2 heatsink.

Storage includes one PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot and four SATA ports, while expansion is handled by one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x4 full length slot. Network connectivity steps up to a Realtek 5 GbE controller plus a WiFi 7 card with Bluetooth 5.4, and the rear panel adds USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A along with HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.
The B850M-MEOW WIFI7 V14 replaces the earlier COLORFIRE B850M-A MEOW WIFI Orange Shadow board that shipped with a simpler layout and lower spec power delivery. That model used a 7+2+1 phase design with 60 A DrMOS, only two DDR5 DIMM slots, a 2.5 GbE controller and a WiFi 6E module with Bluetooth 5.3, while keeping the same basic B850 feature set and dual PCIe 5.0/4.0 M.2 slots.

Colorful still leans into the MEOW branding, but the new board tones down the cat artwork in favor of a more neutral white build that fits a wider range of cases and components. By the way, this board will ship with special Meow-themed BIOS, which looks like this:
