Colorful’s midrange boards are ready for Zen6

Colorful has expanded its AM5 B850 lineup with three new micro-ATX boards aimed at Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 processors: the CVN B850M ARK FROZEN, BATTLE-AX B850M-PLUS S WIFI7, and COLORFIRE B850M-MEOW WIFI7. All three target mainstream gaming and creator builds with DDR5 support, upgraded VRMs, Wi-Fi 7, and 5 GbE or 2.5 GbE networking, and they sit on the same B850 platform that vendors are already promoting as Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 ready but also “next-gen ready”.
Shenzhen, China, November 28th,2025 – Colorful Technology Company Limited, a leading brand in gaming PC components, gaming laptops, and HiFi audio products, today announced three new additions to its B850 motherboard family: the CVN B850M ARK FROZEN, BATTLE-AX B850M-PLUS S WIFI7, and COLORFIRE B850M-MEOW WIFI7. These new models bring enhanced power delivery, upgraded connectivity, and signature COLORFUL design identities to meet the performance needs of next-generation AMD Ryzen processors.

Each board follows its own design theme. The CVN B850M ARK FROZEN uses a 14+2+1 phase 80A VRM, triple M.2 slots (two PCIe 5.0 x4), and 2.5 GbE plus Wi-Fi 7 for high-end Ryzen 9 parts. The BATTLE-AX B850M-PLUS S WIFI7 pairs a 10+2+1 55A VRM with one PCIe 5.0 x4 and one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot, plus 5 GbE and Wi-Fi 7. The COLORFIRE B850M-MEOW WIFI7 keeps the 10+2+1 layout, adds a themed MEOW BIOS and lighting control, and combines 5 GbE with Wi-Fi 7 for compact, stylized gaming builds.
Vendors across the AM5 stack have started to talk about “next-gen Ryzen processors” or “future CPU support” in BIOS notes and box stickers, without naming Zen 6 directly . ASUS and GIGABYTE have rolled out updates that add support for “next-gen Ryzen” on 600-series and 800-series AM5 boards, while MSI now markets its new 800-series as “Future CPU Ready”, pointing at support for upcoming Zen 6-based chips. Independent reporting and leaker commentary also indicate that both 32 MB and 64 MB AM5 BIOS chips are expected to handle the next generation once microcode is ready.
Zen 6 itself, expected to arrive as the Ryzen 10000 desktop family (unless AMD does some changes to naming), is on AMD’s roadmap for a 2026 launch window, still using the AM5 socket and DDR5 memory. Current reports point to more cores per CCD, potential desktop SKUs above 16 cores, and expanded AI features compared to Zen 5, while maintaining drop-in compatibility on existing AM5 boards once vendors ship updated BIOS firmware.
Speaking of BIOS, Colorful confirms their boards have 256Mbit chips, which means 32MB capacity:
