The Resurgence —in ages past, a mysterious phenomenon called The Resurgence began to spread across the world. It warped the very existence of all things, living and non-living, twisting them into monstrous forms. These twisted beings became known as Horrors and posed a grave threat to humanity. As human civilization began collapsing, the Revenants, beings who had long lurked in the shadows, emerged to take control of society. Through the power of one great Revenant, The Resurgence was sealed, and the world knew a brief, fragile peace.

The Upheaval
One hundred years ago, the seal on The Resurgence weakened, bringing the world once more to the brink of collapse. After a great battle, the Revenants succeeded in sealing it again. The prominent Revenants who sacrificed their lives in this war would forever after be known as the "Heroes." In a future world where humans and Revenants coexist… Due to the sudden appearance of the Luna Rapacis, Revenants have transformed into mindless monsters called Horrors.
