ASRock unveils GAI4G-R9700 workstation with four Radeon AI PRO R9700 GPUs for business customers
ASRock has listed a new preconfigured AI workstation called GAI4G-R9700 . The 4U rackmount or tower system combines four Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator 32GB cards with support for AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 and 7000 WX series processors. The product page clearly states that this model is for business customers only and will not be sold through retail channels, which points to a B2B and SI focus rather than a DIY barebones for enthusiasts.
Each Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator card is based on AMD RDNA 4 and comes with 64 Compute Units, 32 GB of GDDR6 on a 256 bit bus at 20 Gbps, and a boost clock listed at up to 2920 MHz, with a 2350 MHz game clock. The boards use a blower cooler, a 12V-2×6 power connector, and offer four DisplayPort 2.1a outputs per card. In the GAI4G-R9700 configuration, that adds up to 128GB of VRAM and 16 DisplayPort 2.1a outputs from the four GPUs, plus one DisplayPort 1.1a output from the BMC for remote management.

With 4 x 32 GB GPUs, ASRock’s system delivers a combined 128GB of graphics memory. That is lower than quad configurations based on Arc Pro B60 Dual 48 GB boards, where some vendors target up to four cards per system for a total of 192GB of VRAM.ASRock instead follows a single GPU per slot layout using four full R9700 cards, trading absolute VRAM capacity for a more conventional PCIe and cooling design that fits standard 4U layouts.
On the platform side, the GAI4G-R9700 chassis offers eight DDR5 DIMM slots for eight channel ECC registered memory at up to 6400 MT/s, two 2.5 inch drive bays, PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, dual USB4 Type C ports at the rear, and dual Intel X710 10 GbE plus a dedicated IPMI management port.
