One of the two rumored X3D CPUs appears on AMD website

In a surprising move, AMD has just listed the Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU on its driver website . The update was spotted by dataminer Olrak29, who noticed the SKU name on AMD’s French driver website. Apparently, the 9850X3D is already listed there.
The 9850X3D is one of two rumored SKUs with 3D V-Cache based on the Zen 5 architecture. The list of X3D CPUs is growing, and these are likely the most interesting additions to the series so far. While AMD has not confirmed the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 yet, the SKU that is supposed to have two X3D tiles, we can now be certain that the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, featuring a higher 5.6 GHz clock, is coming.

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently AMD’s best-selling gaming CPU with 8 cores and a 120W TDP. This CPU ships with a 5.2 GHz clock, while the rumored 9850X3D would feature an even faster frequency. Its boost clock would be 400 MHz higher at 5.6 GHz.
While AMD has not confirmed the release dates of both CPUs, it is safe to assume that AMD will officially present them at CES 2026 along with the Ryzen 9000G series for the AM5 socket.
