GTA 6 footage leaks from former Rockstar animator

GTA 6 leaks, sort of

With fake GTA 6 clips spreading online, fans now have one of the few credible leaks to dissect. Former Rockstar Games animator briefly published a demo reel on Vimeo that included about 19 seconds of GTA 6 work, flagged by user Synth Potato before the video was removed.

The first segment shows a man getting on and off a bicycle with detailed motion capture, alongside a “Lom Bikes” logo that could hint at a public bike system in Vice City. The second clip is labeled as a “breakout/exit animation from Monster truck for female NPC,” with a woman jumping into and out of a pickup’s bed, matching the appearance of Lucia from the official trailers.

Rockstar is known for tight control over its projects, pursuing hackers after a large GTA 6 leak in 2022 and reportedly firing staff accused of sharing confidential material. Chue appears to have used the reel to showcase his skills, but the quick removal of the video raises questions about whether the footage was cleared for public use.

The video was mirrored by Redditors, and most believe that this is a nothingburger, not even showing a final render frames:

Grand Theft Auto 6 is perhaps the most anticipated game right now (right after Half Life 3?), a game that should have been released by now (the original release window was Fall 2025). It is clear that gamers are looking for updates, even when they come from unofficial sources. Some actors take advantage of this by releasing AI-generated videos and claiming they are from the game. This one looks a lot more genuine.
