Intel’s future “Wildcat Lake Refresh” low-end mobile CPUs said to come in two variants

Intel low-end CPUs for Core Ultra 400 lineup

Refresh of Wildcat Lake.

Technically, Wildcat Lake has not been released yet and won’t be for another few weeks, possibly months. It’s a low-end architecture developed to join Panther Lake as part of the Core Ultra 300 series.

Wildcat Lake is said to have two variants, but for the new series only one version will be used. This version has 2 P-Cores and 4 LP cores, with no Efficient cores. It’s not a monolithic CPU.

Back in June, Jaykihn confirmed the specifications of Wildcat Lake, which is a 6-core version with only 2 P-Cores and 2 Xe3 cores.

Wildcat Lake

  • Up to 6 CPU cores 2P+0E+4LP
  • Up to 2 Xe3 cores
  • Up to 40 AI TOPS
  • Up to 6 PCIe 4.0 lanes

Today, Jaykihn has included the specs for the refresh. It is now claimed that the Wildcat refresh will include two configurations, not just 2+0+4 but also 4+0+4.

Wildcat Lake Refresh 🆕

  • Up to 8 CPU cores 4P+0E+4LP ❔
  • Up to 2 Xe3 cores ❔
  • Up to 40 AI TOPS ❔
  • Up to 6 PCIe 4.0 lanes ❔

Wildcat Lake Refresh will contain both 2+0+4 and 4+0+4 WCL configurations.

Wildcat Lake only contains 2+0+4.

The leaker did not mention the GPU specs though. As a reminder, Wildcat Lake sits below Panther Lake, it is developed for entry-level laptops, and the refresh is likely to substitute Nova Lake-U series for the generation after Panther Lake.

As we can see in the unofficial roadmap from Intel partner, Wildcat Lake, is said to be launching around Q1/Q2 next year, and it is unlikely to be replaced sooner than a year after. That said, we are most likely discussing a product that will be released in Q1/Q2 2027 at the earliest.
