ASUS ROG STRIX B850-I GAMING WIFI 7 W

ASUS has showcased a new white version of its ROG Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi mini-ITX motherboard. The board keeps the same AM5 B850 platform as the existing black model, with support for Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 desktop CPUs, DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 graphics, and dual PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots for storage. It targets compact gaming and AI-focused builds that need full-fat next-gen connectivity in a small case.
The white edition swaps the dark aesthetic for a light PCB with matching heatsinks and I/O shroud, aimed at all-white or contrast SFF builds. Underneath the new finish, the spec likely appears unchanged, including the 10+2+1 power stage design, WiFi 7, 2.5 GbE, and the usual ASUS features. Layout for memory, M.2 slots, and rear I/O follows the existing ROG Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi.
From what can be seen so far, there are no clear physical changes to the board beyond color. The single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot looks to use the updated EZ PCIe/Q-Release style mechanism that ASUS has started to roll out on refreshed AM5 boards, which should make GPU removal easier in cramped mini-ITX cases. This board has no such mechanism, but the PCIe connector is clearly updated.
ASUS has not confirmed pricing or a launch date for the white ROG Strix B850-I model yet, so it is unclear when this version will appear at retail or how it will be positioned against the existing black edition.
