Chieftec today introduced the Cube (CI-03B-OP), a cube-shaped microATX case. The front- and top panels of the case are hinged with the bottom and rear ones, and with the side panels removed, the case opens up like a clamshell, as shown in the pictures below. This gives you access to the motherboard tray that's arranged horizontally. You get room for graphics cards up to 33.5 cm in length and CPU coolers up to 16 cm in height. The bottom partition has two removable drive cages, one for 3.5-inch/2.5-inch, and the other for 2.5-inch drives. There's room for a conventional ATX PSU, with 16 cm of clearance.

Ventilation options on the Chieftec Cube (CI-03B-OP) include a large 200 mm front intake fan with a mesh intake, which is what gives the case its subwoofer-like appearance. Besides this 200 mm intake fan, you get room for a 120 mm rear exhaust, and a top mount that lets you have either another 200 mm fan, or two 120 mm fans, or a 240 mm x 120 mm radiator. The case measures 385 mm x 265 mm x 355 mm (DxWxH), weighing about 4.6 kg. Front panel connectivity includes a 10 Gbps-capable USB-C, two USB 3.2 type-A, and headset jacks. The company didn't reveal pricing.
