
After announcing the finalists last month, Apple today of the 2025 App Store Awards. This year, the App Store Awards recognize 17 apps and games for their “technical ingenuity and lasting cultural impact.”
The winners were selected by App Store Editors for “demonstrating exceptional innovation, user experience, and design.”
Apple CEO Tim Cook:
“Every year, we’re inspired by the ways developers turn their best ideas into innovative experiences that enrich people’s lives,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. This year’s winners represent the creativity and excellence that define the App Store, and they demonstrate the meaningful impact that world-class apps and games have on people everywhere.”
Here are the winners in the “Apps” category for each of Apple’s product categories:
- iPhone App of the Year : , from tiimo.
- iPad App of the Year : , from Detail Technologies B.V.
- Mac App of the Year: , from Essayist Software Inc.
- Apple Vision Pro App of the Year : , from James Hustler.
- Apple Watch App of the Year : , from Strava, Inc.
- Apple TV App of the Year : , from WarnerMedia Global Digital Services, LLC.
And the winning games:
In addition to those apps and games, Apple is also recognizing six Cultural Impact winners. These apps were selected for “their ability to drive meaningful change.”
“These apps and games were recognized for their positive impact, providing users with helpful tools, promoting understanding, and shaping a more inclusive world,” Apple says.

The App Store Awards season is one of my favorite parts of the year. Having spoken to so many developers over the years, I know how meaningful being recognized by the App Store Awards is. It’s a true bucket list item for these developers.
