AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D appears in the shipping manifest
A new shipping manifest leak has added another piece to the Ryzen 7 9850X3D puzzle. An NBD manifest shared by @Olrak29_ lists an “ AMD Desktop Ryzen 7 9850X3D 120W AM5 ” entry, complete with part number 100-000001973-00 and an internal date from mid-October 2025.
The manifest leak follows a brief appearance of Ryzen 7 9850X3D on AMD’s own driver support pages. Previous rumors point to a Zen 5 X3D refresh built around two models: Ryzen 7 9850X3D for mainstream gaming builds and Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 at the top, with the latter rumored to carry a 200W TDP and dual 3D V-Cache stacks.

- Ryzen 7 9850X3D – 120W, 8C/16T, 96MB L3 cache, 5.6 GHz / 4.7 GHz
Specification leaks paint the 9850X3D as an 8-core, 16-thread Zen 5 processor with a 4.7 GHz base clock, up to 5.6 GHz boost, and 96 MB of L3 cache, mirroring the cache layout of the 9800X3D but raising peak frequency by about 400 MHz. The TDP figure in the manifest suggests AMD plans to keep the same 120W envelope while using binning and firmware tuning to hit those higher clocks. That would place the 9850X3D as a slightly faster drop-in option for AM5 gaming systems that already target the 9800X3D today.

There is still no firm launch date. Some reports expect Ryzen 7 9850X3D to arrive in early 2026, with CES named as a possible stage. With the 9800X3D already established as a top gaming CPU at 120 W, the main questions now are pricing and regional availability once this higher-clocked sibling finally shows up at retail.
