NVIDIA also confirms end of support for Pascal-based GeForce MX and TITAN GTX series

TITAN RTX is the last remaining TITAN to be supported

NVIDIA also confirms only one MX GPU will support new drivers.

NVIDIA launched a new 590 display driver yesterday, which was the first in the new branch that officially ended “Game Ready” support for Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta series. To our surprise, after analyzing the driver release notes, we noticed that NVIDIA still listed some Pascal GPUs. As it turns out, that was a mistake and NVIDIA has now corrected this error.

Apparently someone forgot to remove the MX series. Since we mentioned this in our previous post, we feel obligated to let you know that all Pascal GPUs are in fact no longer supported. Our suspicion that NVIDIA was somehow planning to support the MX series for longer was incorrect.

The current lineup only has one MX GPU, the MX450 , which is based on the TU117S GPU from the Turing series (launched in 2020). This is effectively the last of the MX series.

Since we are counting down what is still supported, NVIDIA has now ended support for all TITAN GTX series with this driver. Currently the 590 branch supports only one TITAN GPU, the TITAN RTX based on the Turing architecture. Technically NVIDIA explored a TITAN ADA design, but it was never released or supported, which also means that this is the only member of this family left standing.

NVIDIA’s GPU support list is surprisingly short now. We always keep them updated, and this time we had to remove a few rows of products. Still, this list is much longer than AMD’s or Intel’s.
