AMD Medusa Point has 45W and 28W TDP SKUs
Medusa is now listed in shipping manifests, preparing for next year’s launch.

AMD’s next-generation “Medusa Point” APU family is starting to take shape through a series of leaks and shipping manifests.The latest NBD shipping manifest points to two TDP classes for Medusa Point, while earlier details outlined a hybrid core design and trimmed-down integrated graphics. If accurate, Medusa Point will come to market as Zen 6-based Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9 parts with up to 22 CPU cores and a new FP10 mobile socket.
As we recall, according to earlier information shared by HXL, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 models based on the “ Medusa Point 1 ” platform are expected to use a 4C+4D+2LP layout: four classic Zen 6 cores, four dense Zen 6c cores, and two low-power cores, paired with 8 RDNA 3.5+ Compute Units. This would be AMD’s first APU with low-power x86 cores, a feature that so far has been limited to Intel Core Ultra processors.
At the same time, it would also be the first APU with upgraded RDNA 3.5+ graphics, though still with only half the CU count of the current 16-CU RDNA 3.5 iGPU found in top Strix Point configurations. Details about the NPU for Medusa Point have not appeared in these leaks yet.

A higher-end Medusa Point configuration is said to target Ryzen 9 SKUs by adding a separate 12-core CCD from the desktop lineup. That CCD would sit next to the 10-core APU die, raising the total core count from 10 to 22 while keeping the same 8-CU RDNA 3.5+ integrated GPU. This creates a mixed layout where the Medusa Point APU acts as the I/O hub, hosting the graphics engine, media engine, memory controllers, and interfaces, while the extra CCD contributes only classic Zen 6 cores.
The newest NBD shipping manifest, shared by @Olrak29_, confirms that Medusa Point will ship in both “High-TDP” and “Low-TDP” variants, aligning with 45 W and 28 W classes. The same log also confirms the FP10 socket, which was already rumored for Medusa Point and is said to be about 6% larger than FP8 while still smaller than the FP11 package used by Strix Halo. The 28 W Medusa Point parts are set to follow up current Strix Point designs in mainstream thin-and-light systems, while the 45 W variants should target more performance-oriented laptops that can fully use the higher core counts, so gaming laptops.
AMD has not confirmed when Zen6 APUs will be released, but recent leaks on Ryzen 400 “Gorgon Point”, a refresh of “Strix Point” paints a clear picture that the refreshed series will be released at CES 2026 in January. The Ryzen 500 “Medusa Point” likely won’t appear for another year.
