MSI invites influencers to promote its new Panther Lake laptops
MSI and Intel recently hosted a closed-door event in New York to give selected creators an early look at next-generation Panther Lake laptops. One of the guests, ETA Prime, has now shared a first-look video focusing on MSI’s refreshed Prestige series, which is expected to debut officially around CES 2026. The video is a marketing piece produced under embargo, so all performance comments are subjective and should be treated as early impressions rather than hard data.
The new Prestige lineup will span 13-, 14-, and 16-inch models aimed at professionals and creators. MSI is moving to a magnesium-aluminum chassis across the range to reduce weight while keeping rigidity. The 14-inch Prestige is the main highlight so far: it drops to 1.52 kg, which is around 20% lighter than last year’s 14-inch model. MSI is also preparing configurations with OLED displays and optional pen support on some variants, targeting users who work with content creation and note-taking on the go.

All of these systems are built around Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake CPUs manufactured on the 18A process. According to ETA Prime, who had some hands-on experience with these laptops, Panther Lake feels like a clear step up from Arrow Lake and a noticeable improvement over Lunar Lake, with stronger integrated graphics performance and better efficiency suited for thin-and-light laptops. Concrete benchmarks and full testing are still under embargo until CES, so for now this remains qualitative feedback from limited hands-on time.
MSI Claw with Core Ultra 300 expected
MSI also used the event to show updated gaming laptops and desktops running Battlefield 6 on Intel CPUs with NVIDIA graphics, but the main focus in this coverage is the Prestige business and creator line. The video also touches on ongoing speculation about a new MSI Claw handheld powered by Panther Lake, which could appear at CES 2026. MSI did not confirm any such product during the event, so any mention of a Panther Lake Claw should be treated as rumor for now.
