Lenovo brings Tech World to CES 2026 with Sphere keynote stacked with chip CEOs

Lenovo is turning its annual Tech World conference into one of the headline acts of CES 2026. The company will host a keynote at the Sphere in Las Vegas on January 6 at 5 p.m. PST , combining its own product launches and AI roadmap with a large scale visual show tailored to the venue’s 16K wraparound screen. It is only the second year CES has used the Sphere for an opening keynote, which still makes it one of the more unusual stages for a PC and AI focused event.
On stage, Lenovo chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang will be joined by NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan and AMD chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su, putting the leaders of the three main PC GPU and CPU vendors on one keynote lineup.
That combination does not happen often, even for Tech World, which has previously split in person and remote appearances from these companies. Qualcomm president and CEO Cristiano Amon is also listed as a speaker, underlining that the session is meant to cover client, data center and edge AI hardware in one go.

Lenovo is using the event to push its “Smarter AI for all” message across hybrid AI, personal AI, and enterprise AI, while showcasing its Formula 1 and FIFA World Cup 26 work and its Sphere partnership as examples of how its hardware is used in large live events. The guest list adds FIFA president Gianni Infantino and Sphere Entertainment president and COO Jennifer Koester, but for PC and AI watchers the focus will be on the chip vendors on stage and what they share about upcoming AI PCs and data center hardware.
I guess an event packed with such a guest will be both very interesting to watch and boring. Unless the event will be split between speakers and product announcements, this will be basically a FIFA commercial.
