ASRock Radeon RX 9070 non-XT at $509

Newegg has reduced the price of the ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 CL 16G to $509 , which is marked as the lowest price in 30 days and sits well below both AMD’s $549 MSRP and ASRock’s own $635 reference price for this model.
The Challenger card is a full-size ATX design with a triple fan cooler and a 220W board power rating, powered by dual 8-pin connectors. It uses a 16 GB GDDR6 configuration on a 256-bit bus running at 20 Gbps, paired with 3,584 stream processors and boost clocks up to 2,520 MHz.
At current price, the RX 9070 moves closer to the symbolic 500 dollar mark for a 16 GB RDNA 4 card, creating a clearer gap to RX 9070 XT models that still sell closer to 700 dollars on the same store.

Recent reports pointed to upcoming Radeon price increases, so this discount suggests either that adjustments are not yet reflected in retail listings or that partners are using short promotions before any new pricing structure settles in. Before the market (or AMD) determines whether the next stop is a clean 499 dollars, this RX 9070 Challenger offer looks like one of the more aggressive deals for buyers looking for a 16GB card in this segment.
We definitely don’t want it to climb back to MSRP or ever go above it again.
