AOOSTAR NEX395 now listed in China at a very high price

AOOSTAR has launched the NEX395 mini PC in China, built around AMD’s top Strix Halo chip, the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 . The system now ships in a revised chassis, after the company confirmed that the retail design would differ from the unit first teased in July.
The headline feature is memory. NEX395 ships with 128 GB of LPDDR5X running at 8,533 MT/s on a 256-bit interface. That speed matches the fastest memory configuration currently used by any Strix Halo system and puts the mini PC in the same class as HP’s latest Ryzen AI Max workstations. AOOSTAR promotes this as a way to keep large AI models in memory and to feed the Radeon 8060S iGPU without bandwidth bottlenecks.

Cooling and power delivery have also been upgraded. Marketing material describes a “Glacier VC” thermal design with an IVC plate and a 140 W performance mode. AOOSTAR shows 3DMark numbers taken at 120W, with total scores around 11,550 points, the GPU at 11,639 points and the CPU at 11,073 points, which lines up with expectations for the 8060S integrated graphics.

NEX395 offers three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, 2x USB4, dual 2.5 GbE, multiple USB Type-A ports and both DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. The launch configuration pairs the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 128 GB of memory, and a 2 TB SSD at a price of 19,999 yuan, about 2800 dollars, with a global release planned but not yet dated.
