Pawn shop customer finds $600 PC with ZOTAC RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID, Core i9-14900KF and $700 worth DDR5
A Reddit user in Portugal has bought a desktop PC from a pawn shop for $600 that is estimated to be worth around $2,500 at current prices. The system was listed at $750, but the buyer managed to negotiate the price down before opening the case and checking the hardware.
Inside, the system turns out to have a ZOTAC RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SOLID graphics card . This is a special model that uses the AD102 GPU, a configuration that was not reused on other boards, so the card is easy to confirm from photos shared online.
Interestingly, the original Reddit post barely mentioned the graphics card at all and focused instead on the memory, which says a lot about how much attention DDR5 pricing is getting right now.
The machine is also powered by an Intel Core i9-14900KF processor from the Raptor Lake Refresh line. This is a high-end CPU from the generation that drew reports of stability issues under aggressive motherboard settings. Anyone taking over a second-hand system like this will likely want to check voltages, power limits, and cooling before pushing it hard.
The main reason the $600 price stands out is the memory. The PC includes 64GB of T-Force Delta RGB DDR5-6000 in a 2×32 GB kit . A few months ago, this kind of kit sold for under $200. With current DRAM prices, the same product is now listed close to the $700 mark at major retailers, which means the RAM alone is worth more than the entire pawn shop system.
