NVIDIA has RTX 2080 Ti out for grabs, a very special one

NVIDIA is marking the fifth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077 with a new giveaway of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, one of its rarest Turing cards. The promotion is part of the GeForce Holiday 2025 giveaway, which lists two custom Cyberpunk 2077 RTX 2080 Ti Edition GPUs among the prizes, with at least one unit signed by CEO Jensen Huang. Entries are handled through GeForce social channels, where NVIDIA is running anniversary and CES themed prompts.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Edition is not a simple sticker wrap. It uses a dedicated AL5052 aluminum shroud with the game’s yellow and black color scheme, turquoise lighting around the GeForce RTX logo, and a matching backplate, while keeping standard RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition specs under the hood.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of NVIDIA’s key showcase titles for RTX from day one. The PC version launched with four ray traced effects, including shadows, reflections, ambient occlusion and diffuse illumination, plus DLSS 2.0 upscaling.
Later updates added full ray tracing via the RT Overdrive mode and then DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction and DLSS 4 support on newer RTX hardware, turning Night City into a long running testbed for each generation of RTX features. Unfortunately, RTX 2080 Ti does not support some of these technologies.

The original RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition was never sold at retail, with only 200 units produced and 77 given away in 2020 sweepstakes , which is why surviving cards tend to appear only on auction sites for collector level prices.
However enthusiasts now have a second path though, thanks to genuine Cyberpunk Edition heatsink and shroud kits that surfaced on eBay, which can be installed on a standard RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition PCB to recreate the limited design. With the new anniversary giveaway on top of that, Cyberpunk fans get a fresh, if still narrow, chance to add one of NVIDIA’s most distinctive RTX collectibles to their builds.
