FEVM’s new FAEX1 mini-PC with 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ 395 fits in 1-liter chassis

FEMV launches second Mini-PC with Ryzen AI MAX+ “Strix Halo”

FEVM has introduced its second mini PC, the FAEX1, built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 Strix Halo processor. The system fits that 16-core APU and up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 into a compact 1-liter class chassis aimed at users who want strong AI and GPU performance in a small form factor. The box launches first in China.

The FAEX1 measures 220 x 133 x 35 mm, which works out to roughly 1.02 liters. FEVM uses a CNC aluminum alloy shell, phase change thermal material, a large heat spreader, and two turbine fans. The company rates the cooling system for up to 160 W sustained package power on the Ryzen AI Max+ 395.

Memory is soldered, with 64 GB or 128 GB LPDDR5X-8533 configurations. Storage uses three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 slots, although one of the slots is shared with the external OCuLink 4i connector. The APU integrates a Radeon 8060S GPU that targets performance in the same range as an RTX 4070 Laptop, and users who need more can attach a discrete graphics card over OCuLink or the two USB4 ports.

Despite the size, the FAEX1 includes a broad set of I/O. The front and rear panels carry two USB-C 40 Gbps ports, two USB-A 10 Gbps ports, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, an SD 4.0 card reader, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and the OCuLink 4i port . Networking uses a Marvell AQC113 10 GbE controller plus a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port. Wireless connectivity comes from a MediaTek MT7925 Wi-Fi 7 card with Bluetooth 5.4. FEVM also fits stereo speakers and a dual noise canceling microphone array into the chassis.
