Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis teaser leaks ahead of announcement

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

Tomb Raider appears to be leaking again right before its expected The Game Awards 2025 reveal.

A title, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is now tied to a batch of leaked box art and blurry trailer stills. The cover shows Lara Croft with dual pistols, and the images lean into the classic look with the blue top and a cleaner adventure tone. The “Atlantis” naming also points back to the first game’s era and themes.

A short video clip also surfaced online, but it did not stay up for long. It was taken down by Amazon, which many people are treating as confirmation that the footage was legit.

If this is real, the current read is that it is either a remake of the 1996 original or a retelling built around the “unified” Lara concept Crystal Dynamics has talked about. The shots seen so far focus on familiar set pieces, plus a more traditional Lara presentation, rather than the reboot trilogy’s survival focus. The low quality of the material makes it hard to judge visuals, animations, or gameplay.

Either way, the wait for clean assets should be short. The reveal is expected during The Game Awards on December 11, 2025, where we should get an official title, trailer, and the first proper screenshots.

Tomb Raider Catalyst in 2027

Crystal Dynamics is also launching Tomb Raider Catalyst in 2027. The game will be set in mythical cataclysm set in Northern India. Additionally, both games are confirmed to be launching on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series XS.
