Chipset driver package lists AMD Ryzen AI 400 “Gorgon Point” laptop APUs

A recent AMD chipset driver package includes a new PMF_RYZEN_AI400SERIES directory, alongside an installer named `AMD-PMF-Ryzen-AI-400-Series-Driver.msi`. The naming points to an unreleased Ryzen AI 400 series platform, codenamed “Gorgon Point,” and suggests AMD is already shipping driver components to OEMs for validation.
Ryzen AI 400 is expected to be a refresh of today’s Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” lineup, not a clean-sheet design. Early material points to the same core building blocks: Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 integrated graphics, and an XDNA 2 NPU.
The presence of a dedicated PMF package matters because PMF is tied to laptop power and performance behavior, including profiles, boosting, and platform tuning. As you can see, the file linked by ‘westlake’ contains the directory for the Gorgon Point series:

Timing-wise, this looks like it could align with CES 2026 announcements, even if AMD has not confirmed anything publicly yet. For now, the driver footprint is the clearest sign that Ryzen AI 400 platform support is already being staged inside AMD’s software stack.
