Colorful iGame X870E VULCAN OC V14 is a two DIMM AM5 board built for memory overclocking
Colorful has listed the iGame X870E VULCAN OC V14, an overclocking focused X870E motherboard for AMD AM5. It uses a two DDR5 DIMM layout, which is common on memory focused boards because it can help signal integrity at higher speeds.
The headline spec is DDR5-10000+ (OC), but Colorful ties that rating to Ryzen 8000 series processors. For Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, the published limit is lower at DDR5-8600+ (OC), so users should expect results closer to that range, depending on the CPU’s memory controller and the memory ICs.

Power delivery is rated at 18+2+2 phases with 110A DrMOS , and the board includes a Vulcan cooling shroud plus a customizable smart screen. There are also multiple onboard controls aimed at tuning and recovery, including items like a Turbo OC button, BIOS flash and clear CMOS on the rear panel, and dedicated OC related switches and buttons on the PCB.
For storage, it carries five M.2 slots, with three PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4. Colorful also notes lane sharing, where populating certain Gen5 M.2 slots can drop the main PCIe 5.0 x16 slot to x8.

This launch fits the current wave of refreshed AM5 boards ahead of CES 2026, where new Ryzen 9000 desktop parts, including the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, are widely expected to show up. At the moment, there is no clear sign that the Ryzen 9000 lineup will get a platform level jump in official memory support, while the bigger change is more likely to come with Ryzen 10000 class Zen 6 parts.
Worth noting that Gigabyte has recently released its 800 X3D series , MSI has updated its lineup with MAX & EVO boards and ASUS is teasing new boards launching at CES 2026.
