MSI X870E GODLIKE at godlike pricing
Celebrating 10 years of the GODLIKE series, which started with… Intel board.

MSI has launched the MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION, a 10-year anniversary AM5 flagship that is limited to 1,000 units. Each board is tied to a numbered collector package, and MSI lists a release and ship date of December 14, 2025.
On the spec side, it supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series CPUs and advertises DDR5-9000+ memory overclocking. Power delivery is rated at 24+2+1 phases with 110A SPS, and MSI also calls out a 10-layer PCB with 2oz copper. Connectivity is stacked, with 10GbE plus 5GbE, Wi-Fi 7, USB4, and a 64MB BIOS ROM. It also includes a 3.99-inch Dynamic Dashboard III display, and the EZ Link concept shifts many fan and RGB connections onto an external hub to cut down on visible cabling.

The bundle is a big part of what MSI is selling here. MSI includes the collector stand, the Black Lucky plush, and a uniquely numbered M.2 Shield Frozr. The box also includes the EZ Control Hub and the M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN5 add-in card, which adds two extra Gen5 M.2 slots and is designed to let you access SSDs from the rear without opening the case.
The main question that most will be asking is what is the actual difference between the MEG X870E GODLIKE X and X870E GODLIKE which came out a long time ago. Underneath the heatsink its the same board, offering identical features. The “X” version is simply a special run as 10th anniversary with some extra bundle and cosmetic changes. Each board comes with a uniquely engraved M.2 Shield Frozr numbered 0001 to 1000, plus a numbered golden nameplate. MSI also lists a Collector’s Stand and a Black Lucky plush as part of what makes the X EDITION different.
Coverage of the X EDITION calls out gold accents and X-themed anniversary details, while the core features like Dynamic Dashboard III and the included M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN5 card are already part of the standard GODLIKE platform feature set.

Reviews are in
Overclock3D leans into the board as a display build piece, calling out the tool-less M.2 hardware and the 3.99-inch screen as the main “use it every day” touches. It also highlights the collector extras, including the stand, the black Lucky, and the numbered run of 1,000 units. Price talk lands around £1,200 in that coverage, and it suggests the extra M.2 card may make more sense in a server than in a windowed showcase build.
Level1Techs points out the practical limit of AM5 lanes, since the board can expose more storage options than the platform can feed at once, and the add-in card pulls eight lanes from the second PCIe slot. In testing, the channel ran a 256GB DDR5-6000 kit and reports it passing y-cruncher and MemTest under Linux, while also calling out working 10GbE and 5GbE support.
KitGuru does the closest thing to a traditional review, but it still frames the product around presentation, bundle size, and “who is this for” pricing. KitGuru cites £1,250 including VAT, while MSI’s US store lists $1,299.99 and Newegg also shows $1,299.99 .
