Gigabyte launches AORUS RTX 5060 TI AI BOX, featuring Thunderbolt 5

GIGABYTE ships AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX as a Thunderbolt 5 eGPU dock

GIGABYTE has released the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX (GV-N506TIXEB-16GD), an external GPU that pairs a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB with NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4 support.

Thunderbolt 5 is the core feature. GIGABYTE lists the AI BOX as Thunderbolt 5 plug and play hardware, with support for Thunderbolt 5 daisy chaining. The same single-cable connection is also used for charging, with PD 3.0 rated for up to 100W to the connected laptop.

GIGABYTE is also positioning the unit as more than a GPU enclosure. Alongside the Thunderbolt 5 link, it adds three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for peripherals plus Ethernet, so it can function as a simple dock for a laptop setup. The company also calls out WINDFORCE cooling, RGB lighting, and a compact chassis aimed at portability.

GIGABYTE’s product page does not list an MSRP. Earlier coverage around the September reveal suggested a sub-$1,000 target, but that was framed as an estimate rather than a confirmed price.

And no, I still don’t understand why companies hold official product launches and don’t share the price.
