The NEXT 2 is built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a Strix Halo APU with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores and Radeon 8060S graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units. AYANEO is targeting up to 85 W TDP and says it is using a dual-fan cooling setup with high-density fins.
On the front, AYANEO is using a 9.06-inch OLED panel at 2400 x 1504 with a 165 Hz refresh rate and HDR support. The company also listed fixed refresh modes at 60 Hz, 90 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and 165 Hz. Power comes from a 115 Wh internal battery, which is larger than what most handhelds ship with.

The control layout includes Hall effect sticks and Hall triggers, plus trigger locks that switch between linear and micro-switch style response. AYANEO is also adding a floating 8-way D-pad, dual touchpads, front-facing stereo speakers, and its AYASpace software. Memory and storage options are still unconfirmed, and AYANEO has not provided final size or weight figures.
